Return from the "Unending Labyrinth"

In the tide of time I had lost one more color, and today I am back to reclaim it. There was a time when a little use to happen in life. A while passed between events which were emotionally so strong that they could convince me to write. Back then i used to pray god that make my life more interesting. Guess what?? God heard me!! Since the last post I was somehow so busy with emotions, people and situations twisting and turning me so much that I lost time for myself.
So, I am back here to feel what the title of my page suggests.. "Believe Your Existence"..

Sun makes the river dry,
Then drops fall from the sky,
If you want to feel life,
You need to give them a try.

Religion -a concept or constraint

Which religion do you follow? The moment I ask this question, why does that ‘soft corner’ develop in your heart if the person belongs to the same religion as you?
Genuinely, if this doesn’t happen, you are a secular person.
I think that long ago religion, both as a concept and constraint, was established by a very intelligent person. That person was only intelligent enough to think that he cannot monitor everybody in the society and he was not somebody whom the society would ‘adhere to’.
So, he made religion. So that he can make the society function properly and give them guidelines and sort of a constitution to classify everything as good or bad. Not only this, that person knew that without a database he won’t be able to prove all this. So, he formulated a database in the form of a religious book.
Now, a set of people enjoyed the concept of an organised society through religion. And hence, they agreed to follow it.
Then how is there such a big database about any religion, especially Hinduism.
This I presume was contributed in two ways – one was that as time passed people wanted to shape the religion to their convenience and thus many gods and goddesses were brought into existence with the help of stories.
Second and the more prominent reason was that when nature was discovered and science came to existence, the religious sect thought that it would just lead to the demolition of the whole well established system, so they floated some more database to support the natural events and co-incidents.
When I was thinking about this, I also went on to think that why were so many religious roots rested in the Himalayas; was it because they were somehow sacred or is it that in the ancient times, Himalayas were inaccessible to most people and thus, any sort of inquiry was impossible.
Why are so many religions then? They were basically because there were many intelligent minds which had their own set of ideas which they wanted to be treated as ideal. Moreover, people used to migrate in the ancient times as well, so they got influenced with the religious beliefs of other regions.
While having written this, am I giving you an idea of me being an atheist? I am not. And I strongly respect the concept of religion. It helps a society to function properly. Also, it is linked to a lot of spiritual stuff, which helps people channelize their energy. I also think that some of the constraints are reasonable and thus acceptable. But, most constraints are not. As they have today become the ones’ holding back our society. Today, they have become so very lethal that they are a threat to a section of society for which religion was meant.
So why were these constraints made in the religion? The answer lies in the very origin. As it was a person who created religion, along with his thoughts for the society came his insecurities.
People always had insecurities. May they be regarding their women, or killing of cows (which were then considered a prime source of milk). Very interestingly, here with a reference to my previous article, insecurity may also be due to their fear of losing their identity.
It is these insecurities which developed overtime and transformed into customs. And it is these customs which are now threatening the society.
So, how would it be to just filter all these ill constraints aka customs based largely on the insecurity of people.
Or did I just say that all religions without such customs teach us exactly the same…

INDIA - a cartel of states or countries

Was the skepticism of the renowned world leaders who doubted peaceful existence of a diverse India justified? Is unity in diversity practically attainable? Or is it that in such a diverse nation people waste there time in marking out their boundaries getting threatened of others. These thoughts preoccupy me while I think that why some policies that were so simple to implement were stalled and why is the nation dormant when it has the potential to do so much.
Is it the insecurity which comes in the way?
Today, most of the leading political parties may it be the big banners like the BJP and the CONGRESS or may it be the regional parties like the SP and the BSP. All of them at some point of time have used this fear of the people of losing their identities as there step to success. The only difference is that some of them do it quite openly while others do it under a sheath. Today, instead of guiding their strategies towards forging a strong India, political parties instead target the fears of the people. And by mentioning the fears, I don't mean they are always communal in nature. when the last time i saw congress win in the general elections, was it for the fine rule of the past in which most of the times they were unable to accomplish there five year plans, or was it that the number of unemployed people in the country had increased so much that if they were offered jobs through NREGA to assuage there fears of remaining unemployed, which managed a victory for INC. I don't say that NREGA has not helped people. But, couldn't the same motto be achieved by educating people and make them better skilled workers so that they could have become self sufficient to get jobs. The main problem is that somehow for the vote bank the government prefers the more quicker way of satisfying people than the one which is more sustainable.
Today, reservation has become another such tool of placating the fears of people. I am not against reservation. But, I am against the way of awarding reservations to people who do not need it to prove their individuality in the society and use it as an incentive. Equality as mentioned in the constitution of India is a fundamental right to which every Indian is entitled .It would be a great achievement for the country, the day when a pure status quo is established. But do you think that till such a system of reservations exist a condition of an equal India will ever be achieved.
Today state centered reservations also exist in educational institutions. Why is it so? Are the Indians of some other state foreign to other state. Why is it that the states fight for resources? Didn't those resources eventually belong to India. Why has there arisen hostility between states that they can't even share water. Are these fears not affecting our interests in a lethal way. APJ Abdul Kalam said that there would be prosperity in India if the youth channelize it's energy in a constructive way. Does their exist a direction to that way with such fears of existence linger in every mind? Will the waters of Brahmaputra be ever able to satisfy the droughts of Rajasthan or will they continue to flood Assam. Will the states made for an easy governance of the country change to countries? The answer is with you. The choice is yours whether to fear from the ones' who are equally feared of you or join hands and make others' fear.
